The GigaFast G.hn Wireless N Access Point enables the creation or expansion of a wireless network using G.hn powerline technology. By utilizing G.hn as the
network backbone, the WEM89-AP can be positioned in locations where a wireless signal is required, rather than at the furthest edge of the wireless network. To
cover larger areas without increasing wireless radiation, multiple WEM89-AP devices can be employed, eliminating the need for additional wiring thanks to G.hn
powerline technology.
Unlike current wireless technology, which often necessitates multiple antennas or higher power output, the underlying issue remains unchanged: wireless signals
are hindered by solid obstacles like cement walls or building foundations. The WEM89-AP overcomes this limitation by utilizing the powerline to transmit data
signals through the walls themselves, subsequently providing wireless connectivity precisely where it is needed. As a result, the data throughput surpasses that
achieved by simply boosting any antenna.
With a wireless throughput of 300Mbps and G.hn throughput of 500Mbps, the GigaFast G.hn Wireless N Access Point is an excellent addition to the GigaFast G.hn
